Our Founder
Octavius Brown is the founder, CEO, and CAO of DOC OCTAVIUS MENTAL HEALTH SERVICES, as of April 26, 2018.
Octavius was born and raised in the “Boogie down” Bronx. He is blessed to have an extensive background to meet the needs of the community on many levels. In 2012, Octavius successfully completed his Masters in Christian counseling through Philadelphia Biblical University. This later was followed up with advancement in becoming a Credentialed Alcohol and Substance Abuse Counselor within the state of NY in addition to achieving the credentials needed to Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of NJ. It is an honor for Octavius to be able to give back to his community and meet the needs of the undeserved.
Furthermore, I have been a Licensed Alcohol and Substance Abuse Counselor in the State of New York, since 2012. In addition, License Alcohol and Substance Abuse Counselor in the State of New Jersey, as well as a Licensed Professional Counselor in New Jersey, since 2018.
The Team’s life experiences, personal and educational development have provided me with excellent Clinical Skills in regards to Assessments, Treatment Plans, Crisis Interventions, Family Counseling, and an embedded sense of empathy towards client’s Mental Health care.”
